Richard Wendorf and his wife were found beaten to death in their Eustis, Florida home. Cigarette burns in the shape of a V, with two dots on either side, were present on the body of Richard Wendorf, and Rod Ferrell had told friends that his sign was a V, with dots on each side to signify clan members. Early news reports suggested that their 15-year-old daughter, Heather, had plotted with this gang to murder her parents. Wendorf and the others were subsequently arrested in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Roderick Ferrell, Howard Scott Anderson, 17, Charity Lynn Keesee, 16, and Dana Cooper, 19, were caught in the Wendorf’s stolen Ford Explorer when one of the girls inadvertently revealed their whereabouts to her mother.
“I went to her dad and smacked the fuck out of him until he finally quit breathing, so, yes, I’m admitting to murder,” police said Ferrell told them. “Actually, it took him about 20 fucking minutes to stop. I swear, I thought he was immortal or something.”

The Murders
It was cult leader Rod Ferrell who mercilessly pummeled Richard Wendorf and Ruth Queen to death with a crow bar on Nov. 25, 1996, but Anderson was with him when he did it.
Anderson helped plan and execute the murders.
Daughter Sandra Queen thought Anderson was probably “bullied” into breaking into the home at 24135 Greentree Lane. Ferrell wanted to steal the couple’s Ford Explorer and take cult member Heather Wendorf, 15, with the group to New Orleans.
Anderson said he did not have a clue that Ferrell would kill the couple.
Two young women with the cult that night received 10 and 17-year sentences. Heather was never charged because she said she didn’t know her parents would be harmed. She was with the women when the slayings occurred.
Anderson, who was 16 at the time of the crime, pleaded guilty to avoid a death sentence.
Howard Scott Anderson’s sentence was reduced from life to 40 years in prison.
Anderson was originally serving life in prison for his involvement in the 1996 vampire cult killings in Eustis
“I’d rather see 30, but if it’s 40 it’s better than what I got,” he said.
Anderson will be 51 when he's released from prison in 2032.1
The Interview
While there is plenty of information online about The Vampire Clan and Roderick Justin Ferrell, there is very little said about Howard Scott Anderson who was sentenced to life for his part in The Vampire Clan/The Vampire Cult murder.
Below is an actual recent interview with Howard Scott Anderson (who actually goes by Scott). The answers to my questions are in his own words. And yes, some of the questions are silly – but it will help you get to know who Howard Scott Anderson is outside of what the media has portrayed him to be.
Q: What is your current favorite band?
A: Five Finger Death Punch of course, Coheed and Cambria comes in second though!
Q: How about Rap?
A: I am not a big fan of Rap, some like Eminem I like but the rest suck ass.
Q: Who would your first visit be to upon your release from prison?
A: Whom I would visit first well, probably the grave of my mom eventually…after I got everything straightened for being an ex-con.
Q: What would your first meal be upon being released?
A: First meal – easy, anything with pork in it and home cooked!
Q: Who is your hero (if you have one)?
A: My hero, well let’s see; any man or woman that puts on a uniform of any of the Armed Forces. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, + Coast Guard and puts their lives on the line for this country. Because at one point I was going to go into the Navy before I got locked up.
Q: What is your best physical feature?
A: Most people tell me that my best physical feature is my eyes. They are dark blue.
Q: What is your most treasured possession?
A: My most treasured possession, well my sanity; because after 17 years I’m surprised I’m not crazy.
Q: Who is your current celebrity crush?
A: This one will throw you for a loop but what the hell; my celebrity crush; Paris Hilton. Have loved her since I saw her in a magazine in her underwear and I was almost drooling.
Q: What do you miss most about being a kid?
A: What do I miss most about being a kid? Well for me really nothing because my childhood sucked. I grew up poor and spent two years in foster care. So I don’t really miss being a kid.
Q: What is something you look for in a girlfriend/spouse?
A: Besides loyalty in a spouse…well for me I guess it would be trust and respect, because these go hand in hand. To be able to trust your significant other you have to first respect their views and dreams and vice versa.
Q: What are your three major turn-ons?
A: Three turn-ons, wow such a broad subject especially toward a guy. 1, a naked girl, a naked girl, and a naked girl! (HA HA)! Funny huh! But seriously I think a woman wearing a pair of thigh-high stockings and high heels gets my motor revved up the most. Serious when need be; playful and fun-loving at the same time. Basically being yourself is the best for me. Lastly I would say lingerie and tattoos are both sexy to me. The sexy underwear is an item that tweaks the imagination. The tattoos are a point of self-expression, hell I’ve got a shit load of them myself.
Q: What tattoos do you have?
A: I have 3/4 sleeve on my right arm. Consisting of a scantily clad woman with a knife and the rest of the arm covered in cheese work and tear out work. A vampire biting a chick on my left forearm, a tribal sunburst on my left elbow and a skull with a candle on my left shoulder. Sagittarius on my stomach and a skull with my nickname VAMP tearing out of my left shoulder blade. So those are my tattoos every one of them. I want to get a few of mine re-touched but I’m gonna wait until I get out before I do that.
Q: What is one thing you want me to know?
A: One thing I want you know, wow, that’s a tough one! I know I wouldn’t know how to use the internet or a damned IPhone to call for pizza! (HAHAHA!) I’ve been gone so long I’m so far behind times it’s crazy.2
