Letter/envelope set from America's Most Wanted Pornstar. Letter's original recipient, Timothy Lax, would be murdered in 2011.
This auction is for a letter from adult film icon Mr. Paul Little, better known as Max Hardcore. Paul Little's style of pornographic filming (and the popularity of said films) made him a target of both state and federal government law enforcement agencies. His films often centered around the degradation of adult film actresses posing as young girls, being subjected to acts of sodomy, fisting, urination, vomiting, and the like. Paul Little took a gonzo journalism approach to his work and would often star in his own films, as well as direct. He won multiple awards in the adult film industry. Obviously, this style of pornography was not appreciated by everyone. At the end of the day, all the actresses involved were 18 and nobody was forced to do anything they didn't want to do. But that didn't stop Paul Little from being investigated, raided, charged, and tried multiple times. After mailing adult films to Tampa, Florida, Paul Little was indicted on federal charges. Despite the law clearly being on his side, Pual Little would ultimately be convicted under United States obscenity laws and would receive a 46 month prison term on 10/3/2008. This was seen by many as a huge blow to first amendment rights. Pual Little turned himself in to authorities on 1/29/2009. He would be released on 7/19/2011.

ORIGINAL RECIPIENT TIMOTHY LAX: This missive was originally mailed to murder victim Timothy Lax. On 5/31/2011, 24-year-old Lax, and his 18-year-old girlfriend, would be stabbed to death by Jeffery Minnick, in Oakland, MD. Jeffery Minnick would enter an Alford Plea to the charges and was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. Timothy Lax often wrote inmates all over the United States, sending a standard letter to everyone he wished to communicate with. Timothy Lax even made the trip to Corcoran, CA, where he visited with P.H.U. inmate Kenny Calihan, meeting Charles Manson, who was also in the visitation room at the time. Lax initially met Minnick through correspondence, while he was serving time for burglary and rape.
