Letter/envelope set from the Massachusetts vampire murderer.
This auction is for a letter from Massachusetts murderer James Riva II. On 4/9/1980, James Riva murdered his grandmother before setting her cottage on fire in an attempt to conceal his crime. It soon came to light that is was James Riva who had killed her. The case began taking bizarre twist as James Riva revealed he was a vampire and that he drank his grandmother's blood, who was also a vampire sent to feed on him. And while that might sound completely insane, James Riva was deemed competent to stand trial. He would be convicted of murder and arson and sentenced to life in prison. James Riva has made several failed parole bids over the years.
