Letter/envelope set from the 16-year-old Mississippi Pearl High School shooter.
This auction is for a letter from Mississippi Pearl High School shooter Luke Timms Woodham. On 10/1/1997, 16-year-old Luke Woodham would stab his mother to death and then head to his high school in her car. He walked onto the campus, killing two students and injuring seven others. Luke Woodham attempted to flee the scene but was detained by the school principal at gun point until the police could arrive. He would be convicted in two separate trials, receiving multiple life sentences with some years tacked on for the attempted murders.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is two pages on one sheet and signed, "Luke." In the letter Woodham processes faith in Christianity and his activities as a prison minister. He's also a fan of The Walking Dead television series. There's a little happy face drawn there at the bottom of the first page. The original mailing envelope is postmarked 8/22/2019.
