This auction is for a letter from deceased Ohio double murderer Jessie James Cowans (10/23/1960 - 9/6/2011). On 8/29/1996, Jessie James Cowans strangled an elderly woman to death in her home, hanging her from the refrigerator door, while burglarizing her home. Cowans already had a prior conviction for murder and robbery as a juvenile in 1977. He had paroled in 1989. He would be convicted and sentenced to death on 4/17/1997. Jessie James Cowans died of natural causes on 9/6/2011. He was 50.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is three pages on two sheets, dated 4/14/2006, and is signed, "Jessie." The original mailing envelope is postmarked 4/17/2006.
