Collaborated painting done with fellow California death row inmate Johnny Capistrano.
This auction is for a painting by deceased California serial killer Phillip Carl Jablonski (1/3/1946 – 12/272019) and fellow death row inmate Johnny Leo Capistrano. Phillip Jablonski killed a at least five women between 1978 to 1991. Two of his victims were legally married to him. Phillip Jablonski came from a very abusive background. While growing up he sexually assaulted his sister and would ultimately abuse his own children. After being convicted of murdering his third wife he served a 12 year person term, where he met his fourth wife, whom he would also kill upon being paroled along with her mother, his mother-in-law. His crimes were marked with sexual sadism, mutilations, and torture. Phillip Jablonski is believed to have committed a series of additional crimes, although an exact number of victims may never be known. Phillip Jablonski died of natural causes on 12/27/2019. He was 73. Johnny Capistrano was convicted in connection with multiple crimes committed in California including murder, attempted murder, three counts of carjacking, two counts of rape, two counts of forced oral copulation, home invasion, and robbery. These crimes took place in four separate incidents with six victims. He would be sentenced to death for those crimes.
