Letter/envelope set from the New Mexico mass murderer.
This auction is for a letter from New Mexico mass murderer Esther Beckley. On 3/3/1996, Esther Beckley, with accomplice Shane Harrison, murdered three Albuquerque Hollywood Video store employees and two grandparents of one of the employees, who were waiting outside. The pair would be arrested after Beckley's boyfriend, John Lausell, turned the pair in for a $100,000 reward that was offered. That's true love, folks! Esther Beckley, following suit, quickly turned state's evidence. She was sentenced to 95 1/2 years, quite the deal! Shane Harrison received over 250 years.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is six pages on three sheets, dated 3/24/2006 signed, "Esther." In the letter Beckley discusses renovations being made at the prison, mentions Cynthia Hendy, and goes into her illicit drug use. The original mailing envelope is postmarked 5/30/2006. The letter and envelope come inside a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board and have been stored flat. Message me with any questions you might have. Thanks for having a look-see.
