This photograph depicts an artwork piece by Mr. Savitaky a holocaust survivor captured in 1941 and sent to Mathausen Camp. He was freed in 1945.
That was how teams were called the singing horses whose task was to clear territory of the concentration camp from cadavers. The carriage packed with human bodies is pulled by prisoners harnessed to it and urged by whip-lashing SS-Soldiers. On pain of death prisoners were made to sing.
This photograph was made post war.
