This auction is for a letter from the California and Washington Hillside Stranger serial killer Kenneth Alessio Bianchi. In California, between 1977 and 1978, Kenneth Bianchi, with deceased accomplice and cousin Angelo Buono, would abduct at least 10 young women and girls that the two would rape, torture, and murder. Kenneth Bianchi would ultimately move to Washington where he would commit two additional murders in 1979. It was those two final murders that got him arrested, where he would spill the beans about the "Hillside" murders in California. The case was largely celebrated in the press. Both men would find themselves convicted and serving life sentences. Angelo Buono would die on 9/21/2002 while serving his term. Kenneth Bianchi remains incarcerated in Washington. In 1980, Bianchi started a relationship with a young lady named Veronica Compton. Compton attempted to murder a woman to create the appearance that the actual Hillside Strangler serial killer was still on the loose. The poly didn't work, and Veronica Compton went to prison. She was paroled in 2003.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is three pages on three sheets, dated 6/7/2012, and signed, "Ken." Bianchi has also signed his name in print a second time and drawn a few little doodles. The original mailing envelope is postmarked 6/8/2012. The letter and envelope come inside a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board and have been stored flat.
