Description

This auction is for a letter from Oregon serial killer Richard Lawrence Marquette. Between 1961 and 1975, Richard Marquette would rape, strangle, and dismember at least three women. Committing his first murder in 1961, briefly making the FBI's 10 Most Wanted list, Richard Marquette would be arrested and serve 12 years of a life sentence. Upon his release he would go on to murder an additional two women, once again being arrested, and once again receiving a life sentence.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is two pages on two sheets, dated 8/12/2007, and signed, "Richard Marquette." The original mailing envelope is postmarked 8/13/2007.
